The story of three friends’ life-altering journey is told in UUNCHAI. Amit Shrivastava, also known as Amitabh Bachchan, is a well-known author who lives in Delhi. He is separated from his wife Abhilasha (Nafisa Ali Sodhi), and his three closest friends are Bhupen (Danny Denzongpa), Javed (Boman Irani), and Om Sharma (Anupam Kher). On Bhupen’s birthday, the quartet gets together and has a good time. Bhupen, who is originally from Nepal, expresses the desire to accompany Amit, Javed, and Om to Everest Base Camp. But the friends say no, citing their old age and health problems. After the party, Bhupen goes home and dies in his sleep. Even in the case of Bhupen, the cremation and other rituals are handled by his friends, who are his only family. Amit discovers in Bhupen’s study that the former has purchased a tour package for three friends to Everest Base Camp.

In two months, the tour will take place. Om, on the other hand, is preparing to submerge Bhupen’s ashes in Varanasi’s Ganga river. Om and Javed are informed about Bhupen’s Everest strategy by Amit. Since the Base Camp was Bhupen’s favorite location on Earth, he convinces them to join him so that they can scatter his ashes there.

After much convincing, Om and Javed agree. However, there is an issue. Shabana, played by Neena Gupta, Javed’s wife, will never allow her husband to undertake such a risky journey. As a result, Amit devises a strategy. He informs Shabana that the three of them will travel to Kathmandu, Nepal, to immerse his ashes.

They will travel by road to Kathmandu in accordance with the plan because Om is afraid of flying. Shabana is asked to join them by Amit. He informs her that they will drop her off at the homes of her son-in-law Valli (Abhishek Pathania) and daughter Heeba (Sheen Dass). The trio will then travel to Gorakhpur to meet Om’s brothers, whom he hasn’t seen in 30 years. Shabana and the three friends begin their journey. Sadly, however, Amit’s foolproof strategy fails. The remainder of the movie is shaped by what happens next.
