The novel “Sisterhood of Dune” by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson serves as the basis for the show, which takes place 10,000 years prior to the events of “Dune.”
Variety reports that no writer has yet been selected for the project.
The official logline reads, “The story follows the Harkonnen Sisters (Emily Watson and Shirley Henderson) as they fight forces that threaten the future of humanity and establish the fabled sect known as the Bene Gesserit.”

Desmond Hart, described as “a charismatic soldier with an enigmatic past” who seeks the Emperor’s trust at the expense of the Sisterhood, will be played by Fimmel.
The cast also includes Shalom Brune-Franklin, Indira Varma, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Faoileann Cunningham, Aoife Hinds, and Chloe Lea.

In the past, Fimmel worked with HBO Max on the sci-fi drama series “Raised by Wolves.” He is most well-known for his role in the History Channel series “Vikings.”
