Disney+ released the first look and trailer of its upcoming original film Crater, which will premiere on the streaming platform on May 12.
Directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez, the film is expected to be a coming-of-age science fiction film. The cast comprises of Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Mckenna Grace, Billy Barratt, Orson Hong, Thomas Boyce and Scott Mescudi among others.
Crater is set in 2577 year and follows the life of Caleb Channing, portrayed by Isaiah. As the central character grows up in a lunar mining colony and is on the verge to shift to a faraway planet after his father’s demise. In order to fulfill his father’s last wish, he along with his three friends sneak a rover for a journey to explore a crater.
The film is written by John Griffin and backed by Shawn Levy, Dan Levine and Dan Cohen.
