One Nation is a web series created by six directors who have won national awards, including Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and Priyadarshan. One episode of the series, which explores the unseen stories of India’s unsung heroes, will be directed by each director.
Vivek posted a picture with the National Award-winning filmmakers while announcing the series on Twitter. “Six National Award winners will share the untold stories of India’s unsung heroes who gave their life for a century to uphold the unity of India. He captioned the photo, “Priyadarshan, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, John Matthew Mathan, Maju Bohara, and Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan.”
While Vivek won the National Award for Best Screenplay- Dilaogues for The Tashkent Files (2019), Priyadarshan bagged Best Feature film for Kanchivaram in 2007. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi who recently directed Samrat Prithviraji was conferred the National Award for Pinjar: Beyond Boundaries in 2004. John Matthew Matthan received the award for his debut film Sarfarosh (1999).
