Authors must ensure that the entire plot works, especially for readers who want to read their works more than once. Al Gough and Miles Millar, the show’s creators, were tasked on Wednesday with piqueing viewers’ curiosity about who (or what) was murdering the Nevermore kids. They made the decision to lay all their cards on the table and leave no questions unanswered by the conclusion of Season 1.

The series makers stated that they intended the first eight episodes to feel “full and incredibly fulfilling” in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
