In Idukki, the second schedule of the forthcoming movie Vilayath Buddha, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, was completed.

Arvind Kashyap, the film’s cinematographer, who gained notoriety for his work on the recent hit Kantara, provided the update.

Arvind remarked in a cordial post, “The first Malayalam film I ever seen was Celluloid. Since then, I’ve been a tremendous admirer of Prithviraj. It is nothing short of a miracle that I am working with him. As we finish the second schedule of Vilayath Buddha, I am incredibly grateful to the cosmos for working together to bring me onto this elite group.”

In the movie, Prithviraj portrays a role called Double Mohanan. Jayan Nambiar, a former colleague of the late filmmaker Sachy, is making his directorial debut. Additionally, he helped Prithviraj with Lucifer.

The movie is being written by GR Indugopan and Rajesh Pinnadan based on the former’s book of the same name.

Two characters—Bhaskaran Master and his smuggler apprentice, Double Mohanan—are at the centre of the narrative. The two men attempting to claim ownership of a sandalwood tree the former planted is the main source of contention. The Bhaskaran Master has been portrayed by Kottayam Ramesh. Anu Mohan, Priyamvada Krishnan of Thottappan fame, and Shammy Thilakan will all play important parts in the movie.

The music will be directed by Jakes Bejoy, while the editing will be done by Sreejith Sarang. The movie is being produced by Sandip Senan through Urvasi Theatres.
