Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, and other actors feature in Sooraj Barjatiya’s Uunchai, which will start streaming on ZEE5 on January 6, 2023.
In the November movie Uunchai, played by Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher, three old friends go to the Everest Base Camp in memory of their late comrade Bhupen (Danny Dengzongpa). Shabina (Neena Gupta), Javed’s wife, Mala (Sarika), Bhupen’s long-lost love, and Shraddha (Parineeti Chopra), their tour guide, accompany them on the hike.
The film received good to average reviews and was a moderate performer at the box-office. It marked Sooraj R Barjatya’s return to direction after 2015’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
