The Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to renowned Spanish director Carlos Saura on Sunday during the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI)’s opening ceremony.
Saura, a filmmaker who has been producing films since 1955, is still very much in the game. Along with Pedro Almodovar and Luis Bunuel, he is a member of the “triumvirate of directors” in his native country.
