The creators of Pathaan have released another song named “Jhoome Jo Pathaan” despite the ongoing controversy over its debut song, “Besharam Rang.” The song, with lyrics by Kumaar and music by Vishal-Sheykhar, is performed by Arijit Singh and Sukriti.

Deepika and Shah Rukh appear in the song video in a beautiful European setting. This time, Shah Rukh is dancing with Deepika while also swinging a leg. Deepika is frequently seen wearing blue and white clothing, whereas SRK typically dons baggy brown and green attire. The song has upbeat sounds mixed into a Qawwali.

In an earlier statement, Pathaan director Siddharth Anand had shared that the second number from the film is said to be a tribute to the character of Pathaan himself.

“Jhoome Jo Pathaan is an ode to the spirit of Pathaan, played by the inimitable Shah Rukh Khan. The song embodies the personality traits of this super spy Pathaan who has an irresistible swagger that is infectious. His energy, his vibe, his confidence can make anyone dance to tunes. The song is modern fusion Qawaali and is a celebration of Pathaan’s style and panache. It has been a while since we have seen SRK groove to music and we are hoping that people will love seeing their favourite superstar shake a leg with an attitude to kill for,” the director had said.

Shah Rukh and co-star Deepika Padukone are in the line of fire by right-wing outfits over the film’s first song Besharam Rang. Deepika is seen wearing an orange bikini in the song and that seems to have irked people’s sentiments. A boycott campaign against the film and its leads is ongoing on Twitter.
