The filming for What We Do in the Shadows’ fifth season has come to an end. Harvey Guillén, who portrays Guillermo in the series, made the announcement. He put up an Instagram post about the end of production, and the caption on the post reads, That’s officially a wrap on season 5 of [What We Do in the Shadows] we did it!. Thanks to this amazing crew .. the whole team .. writers, costumes, hair and make-up, producers .. it takes a village. I can’t wait for y’all to see it!”

The series, which Jemaine Clement created for FX Productions, is based on the 2014 film of the same name, which Clement and Waititi co-directed. The series, which is produced in the manner of a mockumentary, follows the exploits of silly vampires who, after having lived for millennia, nevertheless find it difficult to fit into civilization.

Kristen Schaal, Mark Proksch, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillén, and Kayvan Novak are the series’ main actors. The fifth season is anticipated to air in the latter half of 2023, though the producers have not yet confirmed a release date.
