Steve Levitan, a co-creator of Modern Family, is the series’ originator.

After one season, the meta-comedy Reboot has been cancelled. The scripted comedy series from co-creator of Modern Family Steve Levitan has been cancelled by the Disney-owned streaming service Hulu.

The series’ sole season, which included eight episodes, made its streaming premiere in September of last year.

Steve Levitan, the show’s creator, reportedly wants to find a new home for the Disney’s 20th Television comedy.

Reboot is about the dysfunctional cast of an early 2000s hit sitcom, Step Right Up, who must face their unresolved issues and navigate a vastly different media and entertainment environment when a young writer successfully pitches a reboot of their show.

Starring Keegan-Michael Key, Johnny Knoxville, Judy Greer, Rachel Bloom and Calum Worthy, Reboot has Steve Levitan, Danielle Stokdyk and Jeff Morton serving as the executive producers.
