Superstar Rajinikanth received birthday wishes from Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman. Rahman posted a video of Rajinikanth seeing the former’s virtual reality movie Le Musk on social media.

He noted: “Happy birthday, Rajinikanth, the superstar. We appreciate your warm thoughts on Le Musk’s EPI experience.” (sic)

Rajinikanth states in the video that after viewing the movie, “My god! Ena Panirukeenga, Sir Rahman? Mind-blowing! Super! It is distinctive.”

AR Rahman, an Oscar-winning music director, co-produced and directed the Indian virtual reality thriller Le Musk. Starring in the movie are Mariam Zohrabyan, Guy Burnet, Munirih Grace, and Nora Arnezeder.

It had its world debut earlier during the Cannes XR programme. The 37-minute movie is marketed as a virtual reality-infused cinematic sensory experience with motion, music, and aroma woven into the story. It centres on heiress and singer Juliet Merdinian, who, 20 years after becoming an orphan, searches for the men who altered her destiny using just one strong memory: the fragrance of them. Gurachi Phoenix wrote the screenplay for the movie. Rahman not only directed but also wrote the music.
