For some time now, there have been rumours that Vin Diesel will be appearing in James Cameron’s Avatar sequels. The franchise producer of Avatar, Jon Landau, denied the reports and affirmed that Diesel won’t appear in the movie’s follow-ups.

The rumours started four years ago when Diesel shared a photo of himself with Cameron from the Avatar filming locations in 2019. He reportedly stated, “There is one guy in Hollywood I’ve always wanted to work with and learn from, therefore, all things come, I think, to those who wait,” according to a Variety article. The actor allegedly joined the movie franchise, according to rumours sparked by the video.

However, Landau confirmed, “Vin was a fan. He came in, visited the set one day to see what we were doing and people took that out of context.” The speculation came up probably after Diesel told Entertainment Tonight that one of the reasons he was “doing Avatar” was his friendship with Zoe Saldana.

Although Diesel will not be seen in the Avatar franchise, he will be seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 and Fast X. He may also reportedly be front and center in the 11th and final Fast and Furious movie.
