The new teaser shows the two leads, Paul Mescal and Melissa Barrera, in their romantic and tragic attire. While Paul Mescal stars as the romantic lead, Aidan, Melissa Barrera is the titular Carmen. The two perform several dance numbers in the brief teaser.
The film debuted in 2022 at the Toronto International Film Festival, with original music by the acclaimed composer Nicholas Britell. The film has Rossy de Palma in a prominent role.
Paul Mescal’s popular feature credits include Normal People, The Lost Daughter, God’s Creatures, and Aftersun. The latter project has earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. Melissa Barrera is best known for her breakout role in Scream 5, and the upcoming sequel. She’s also appeared in In the Heights and the Netflix series, Keep Breathing.
