The new animated feature, Avatar: The Last Airbender, is all set to return to theatres in 2025. 17 years after the series ended its run on Nickelodeon, the audience is all set to be reunited with Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, and Toph, all over again. However, the voice cast for the upcoming film is said to be entirely new, as the previous voice cast will not be returning to reprise.

Michaela Jae Murphy alias Jessie Flowe, known for voicing the blind Earthbender Toph in the original show, revealed during MomoCon over the weekend that she believes that most, if not all, of the original cast members, would not be returning for the film.

The original voice cast of the show included Zach Tyler Eisen, Mae Whitman, Jack De Sena, Dante Basco, Dee Bradley Baker, Mako, and Grey DeLisle among many more, apart from Flower.

Lauren Montgomery will be directing the new The Last Airbender film with Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino producing with Eric Coleman. As per reports, the creators are also planning to expand the franchise as two more animated films are under development with Zuko and Avatar Kyoshi speculated to be the focus. To top it all, a live-action series from Netflix is set to bring all the elements together though both Konietzko and DiMartino are no longer involved due to clashes with the streamer.

The new Avatar: The Last Airbender film is due out on October 10, 2025.
