The makers of Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan released the trailer of the film on Thursday. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the film is all set to hit the theatres on June 23.
The teaser features the Indian football team competing in the Helsinki Summer Olympics 1952, fighting the odds of not even having sports shoes and the determined grit of coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who managed our national team from 1950 to 1963. He was one of the key figures of the golden age of Indian football. Ajay will be portraying the role of Syed in the film. Maidaan also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh.
