‘After his debut feature “Titli” (2014), Kanu Behl’s second picture, “Agra,” had its world premiere at the Cannes feature Festival.
Agra, the latest Hindi film from Oscar-winning director Kanu Behl, premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight, a separate section of the Cannes Film Festival in 2023, and it was met with a roaring reception. A five-minute standing ovation for the movie was given.
Along with those who had made seat reservations far in advance, a sizable contingent of the Indian and international media attended the premiere. Agra is the lone Indian feature film in the Directors’ Fortnight and was produced in an Indo-French joint venture by Saregama India Ltd, UFO Production, and O28 Films.
