After his next film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Jason Momoa, who plays Aquaman in DC films, is expected to be recast as another DC character named Lobo. The Game of Thrones actor admitted that he was a huge admirer of Lobo before he was hired as Aquaman, and he was the fan favourite to fill the role. In the end, James Wan’s 2018 film chose him to play Aquaman.
Under the new direction of James Gunn and Peter Safran, DC Studios is now reorganising its plans for the future. Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen invented the interplanetary bounty hunter and gun for hire known as Lobo in 1983 for DC comics.
A third instalment of the Wonder Woman franchise was reportedly said to have been scrapped by Warner Bros. According to reports, Gunn and Safran just received a story concept from Patty Jenkins, who helmed Wonder Woman and its sequel. The DC executives informed her that they would not be pursuing her franchise. Due to the cancellation of Man of Steel 2, rumours claim that Henry Cavill’s Superman comeback is also in doubt.
