JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, has been making headlines for a long now, and most definitely not for the right reasons. While the author works tirelessly to create a wonderful world for her readers through her books and subsequent film series, she has recently become embroiled in a significant issue due to a comment she made towards LGBTQ+ people. Helena Bonham Carter, who is well known for playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, recently discussed the same.

According to JK Rowling’s novels, Helena Bonham Carter played Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter film series. The actor is also well-known for her roles in a number of big-budget movies, and during her career, she has received a great deal of recognition.
Meanwhile, according to a recent Screenrant story, Helena Bonham Carter opened up to The Times in a conversation about the most current JK Rowling incident. She said that the author was being pursued and added that people’s judging them had gone too far. She continued by saying that JK Rowling respected her right to an opinion and had said that everyone had a personal trauma experience and formed their ideas as a result.

Helena Bonham Carter defended JK Rowling by saying, “I think she has been pursued. People’s judgmentalism has reached an extreme. She is free to express her viewpoint, especially if she has experienced abuse. You must respect people’s backgrounds and their suffering since everyone has a personal history of trauma that shapes their perspectives. It’s not necessary for everyone to agree on everything; doing so would be absurd and uninteresting. She’s not stating anything with malice; rather, she’s speaking from personal experience. Personally, I believe [my costars] should respect her right to express her views, but I believe they are also extremely conscious of the need to preserve their own generation and fan base.
