It’s good to have friends, unless those friends are killer doll M3GAN, the artificially intelligent doll who enjoys mutilation and getting down. On January 6, 2023, the next killer doll movie—a hilariously absurd new entry in the genre—will open in theatres. In addition, Universal has now published a brand-new first-look featurette that provides us a sneak peek at the upcoming movie.

A lifelike doll that is designed to be a child’s closest friend as well as a dependable helper for anxious parents is the subject of the animated film M3GAN. The doll was created by the gifted roboticist Gemma, portrayed by Allison Williams in the film Get Out. Cady, having recently lost both of her parents, receives M3GAN from Gemma as a present. In order to be the ultimate companion, teacher, and guardian for the youngster she is linked to, M3GAN is intended to listen, watch, and learn from her surroundings and from her new buddy. However, Gemma discovers the terrifying extent of M3GAN’s true potential when she links her prototype M3GAN to her niece in an effort to ease her mourning process.

The newly released movie shows us the killer AI and illustrates just how dangerously near we are to making the dancing doll a reality. The documentary gives us a little more insight into the now famous murder doll, exploring both her cunning and amusing sides. The new movie’s producer, James Wan, calls himself a “kind of maestro of killer doll movies” in the feature.
