Today sees the start of production on the next film from Pink director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, which stars Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjana Sanghi, and Parvathy Thiruvothu.
The Ritesh Shah-written movie, which combines an emotional tale about a dysfunctional family coming together with an investigative drama, is now being filmed in Kolkata and Mumbai. In addition to Dilip Shankar, Paresh Pahuja, and Varun Buddhadev, it also features Jaya Ahsan, a Bangladeshi actor making her Bollywood debut.
The untitled movie is Viraf Sarkari’s Wiz Films’ first original production. 2023 is the projected year of release.
Pankaj Tripathi stated, “There are three reasons why I accepted to shoot this movie. “First of all, this was one of the most beautiful scripts I’ve read recently despite reading a lot of them. Second, I’ve always wanted to work with the talented filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, and third, Wiz Films is a terrific production business, and I have nothing but the utmost esteem for the partners.”
In the English-language film Wonder Women, Parvathy Thiruvothu, who had her Bollywood debut in the film Qarib Qarib Singlle with Irrfan Khan, revealed, “Due to the fact that I will be working with Aniruddha and Pankaj, I believe this is a huge opportunity for me to demolish and unlearn. You need individuals you can trust while creating a character with such keen insight because that process is always both fantastic and terrifying.”
