According to a recent interview with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, the release of his movie The Legend of Maula Jatt in India would have been a positive gesture between the two nations. He responded, “Things are a touch hot yet, let’s see,” when asked about the movie’s release. I’ve heard that it might or might not come out.

The movie was supposed to open in theatres nationwide on December 30, but it was postponed, and no new release date has been set.

According to earlier reports, a source familiar with the situation said, “Zee Studios had previously obtained a clearance for The Legend Of Maula Jatt from the Central Board of Film Certification. However, the CBFC recalled the movie on Monday.

Ameya Khopkar, the head of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), stated that the decision to stop the film’s release was a result of the party’s efforts after the listings for the movie were taken down from theatres.

Khopkar has previously declared that his party would prevent the movie’s distribution in India.

The Legend of Maula Jatt, starring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, would reportedly be released in India. That an Indian business is in charge of this strategy is really frustrating. We won’t allow this movie premiere anyplace in India, as per Raj Saheb’s instructions,” he had said.

Both the general public and reviewers throughout the world have applauded The Legend of Maula Jatt. The film’s global box office has surpassed Rs 200 crore. Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, and Humaima Malik are also featured in the movie. It is directed by Bilal Lashari and is marketed as a remake of the 1979 cult Pakistani film Maula Jatt.
