On Wednesday, Elizabeth Banks’ forthcoming movie Cocaine Bear’s trailer was unveiled. The movie is based on actual events.

In the movie Cocaine Bear, a black bear drinks copious doses of cocaine and then goes on a murderous spree. Keri Russell, Margo Martindale, Ray Liotta, Alden Ehrenreich, Kahyun Kim, and Christian Convery are among the actors who appear in the movie. It should be noted that Cocaine Bear is both Ray’s final acting part and the first to be released following his passing in May of this year.

The movie is based on incidents that occurred in northern Georgia in September 1985 after a drug smuggler dropped a duffel bag of cocaine there. A 3 months later, a 175-pound black bear was discovered having digested the contents. The smuggler was revealed to be Andrew Thornton, who had also perished while attempting to get off the crowded aircraft. At the Kentucky Fun Mall, the bear is currently on display.

Cocaine Bear is supported by Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Aditya Sood, Brian Duffield, and Max Handelman under the umbrella of Brownstone Productions and has a screenplay by Jimmy Warden. The movie, which was made in Ireland, will be shown on February 24, 2023.
