Chris Rock, a comedian, will soon become the first person to perform live on Netflix, a streaming service.
“Chris Rock is one of the most iconic and important comedic voices of our generation,” said Robbie Praw, vice-president of stand-up and comedy formats at Netflix. “The 57-year-old star will make history when he performs in a yet-to-be-titled comedy special in 2023.”Robbie exclaimed, “We’re thrilled that the whole world will be able to attend a live Chris Rock comedy event and be a part of Netflix history.”

“This will be an unforgettable moment and we’re so honoured that Chris is carrying this torch.”

Rock had previously collaborated with Netflix in 2018 with the release of his stand-up special “Chris Rock:Tamborine’ was shown on the platform for streaming.
Rock, on the other hand, was famously involved in a fight with Will Smith on stage at the Oscars earlier this year.Chris was smacked by the 54-year-old actor after he made a joke about Will’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. The Hollywood star later called Chris’s behavior at the Oscars “shocking, painful, and inexcusable.”
