Netflix officially disclosed the release date for the animated film, Nimona. The film, which faced an extensive production delay, will finally be released on Netflix this June.

Directed by Nick Bruno and Troy Quane, Nimona is backed by Blue Sky Studios.

While Christophe is providing the film’s score, Nimona stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Riz Ahmed, Eugene Lee Yang, Frances Conroy, Lorraine Toussaint, Beck Bennett, RuPaul, Indya Moore, Julio Torres, and Sarah Sherman.

The arrival of Nimona is significant since it is the first animated film, distributed by a mainstream streaming platform, to feature same-sex affection, as well as characters whose identities and romantic interests are flexible.

Nimona (Chloe Grace Moretz) is a shape-shifting adventurer whose life is jeopardised after being targeted by assassin Ballister Blackheart (Riz Ahmed), but the tables are turned when she becomes the only person who can clear the knight’s name.

Nimona will debut on Netflix this June. and the makers are expected to release the trailer soon.
