Boney has done projects together with his family before.He has previously produced films with his late wife Sridevi and his brothers Sanjay and Anil Kapoor.Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, and Urmila Matondkar were in the 1997 film Judaai.

Boney Kapoor recalled in a conversation with sources that “everyone said that Judaai will bomb at the box office.”They asked how people would accept the fact that Sri (Sridevi) and I are married, even though she plays Anil’s (Kapoor, his brother) wife on screen.

The movie went on to become a big box office hit despite the negative reviews.The movie, which was made with a budget of Rs. 6.3 crore, is said to have made Rs. 28.77 crore at the box office.
