Anushka Sharma said on Instagram that the filming for her forthcoming movie Chakda Xpress is now over. The biopic’s subject, former Indian pacer Jhulan Goswami, could also be seen cutting the wrap cake and posing with a clapboard in the photographs that were circulated.

Anushka uploaded the images with the caption, “It’s a wrap on #ChakdaXpress and thank you @JhulanGoswami for the last clap to bring a finish to the session.”

Prosit Roy is the film’s director, while Abhishek Banerjee is the author of Chakda Xpress. Anushka has already posted many videos on social media demonstrating her preparation for the part. In addition to Anushka, Dibyendu Bhattcharya is also a part of the movie and will play Jhulan’s coach.

The movie follows Jhulan’s inspiring journey as she climbs the corporate ladder to pursue her ambition of playing cricket for India despite the obstacles created by chauvinist politicians. She achieved her objective and later became the captain of India’s women’s national cricket team. In her honour, an Indian postage stamp was released in 2018.

The most wickets taken by a woman in an international career are currently held by Jhulan.
