Amar Chadha-Patel is a British-Asian actor who plays the role of Boorman, a character who is very much in the same vein as popular culture favourites Han Solo and Jack Sparrow. Hollywood screenwriter Jon Kasdan claims that he was initially hesitant about casting Chadha-Patel in his action-adventure series “Willow,” but was blown away by the actor’s dedication to the role.
But Kasdan decided to give the actor a chance when Chadha-Patel, a relatively unknown name, assured the screenwriter that he will contribute something fresh to his character.
The team wanted to create a character who would speak for the audience, and Kasdan described Boorman as a “interesting element” in the narrative.
