We have now reached a time where horror films are being made using characters from our youth. Since certain well-known children’s stories became part of the public domain, filmmakers have launched a trend in which they give some well-known characters a rather warped interpretation. For one, in addition to the frightful variation on Bambi, there will soon be a gloomy adaptation of Peter Pan. Without including Winnie the Pooh and his pal Piglet’s upcoming horror film, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, this list would not be complete. The new poster features the well-known bear holding a knife and a severed skull while seemingly letting go of his honey addiction.

The forthcoming slasher film based on A. A. Milne’s 1926 book “Winnie The Pooh” has quite taken the internet by storm, mainly because of how the creatives behind the upcoming film gave the beloved characters a nightmarish look. Titled Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, the wicked reimagining follows the anthropomorphic Winnie the Pooh, who appears to have taken it very personally when Christopher Robin goes to college, leaving him and Piglet with no food supply and no other option but to choose terror as they struggle for survival, eventually leading to Eeyore being slain and eaten (yes, that lovely Eeyore). And what better way to match the film’s premise is to release a poster as wicked as the title suggests, with Winnie the Pooh’s silhouette holding a severed head.

Craig David Dowsett and Chris Cordell play the two closest friends who finally turned into cold-blooded killers as a result of Christopher Robin’s rare visits in the forthcoming horror-thriller directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield. Additionally, Natasha Rose Mills, Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor, Danielle Ronald, Nikolai Leon, May Kelly, Paula Coiz, and Natasha Tosini appear in the movie.
