Anurag Kashyap’s Kennedy starring Rahul Bhatt (Ugly, Dobaaraa) will be screened in the Midnight Screenings section at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The festival will be held from May 16 to 27.
As per a lineup announced by the festival for its 76th edition at a press conference in Paris today, Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City, Wim Wenders Perfect Days and Kore-eda Hirokazu’s Monster are among those selected for the ‘Competition’ category, while Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, Sam Levinson’s series The Idol and James Mangold’s Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny stand in the ‘Out of Competition’ category. Apart from Kennedy, Franco-Algerian director Elias Belkeddar’s Omar la Fraise and French director Just Philippot’s Acide are also in the Midnight Screenings category.
