Despite its name, Shiv Shastri Balboa does not centre on boxing. The trailer for the Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, and Jugal Hansraj movie was released today. An Indian-American director named Ajayan Venugopalan is in charge of the project.
Shiv Shankar Shastri (Anupam Kher), a boxing instructor who reportedly mentored gold medalist Jitender Kumar, is introduced to us in the trailer. He enjoys Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky movies a lot. To see his son (Jugal Hansraj) and his family, he is travelling to the US. He meets Hyderabadi woman Neena Gupta, who is looking for a way out of America to go back to her native country, in the western nation. Shiv Shastri concurs, and they start their journey. Sharib Hashmi and Nargis Fakhri are also featured in the movie.
Last week, Anupam took to Twitter to share a new poster of the film. He also announced that the film will be released on February 11.
In the picture, Anupam’s face was pasted on the body of Sylvester Stallone from the hit film, Rocky.
In September, the actor shared the first poster of the film, which showed him and Neena stranded in a village with cows grazing in the background. Anupam seems to be asking for a lift as Neena sits with the luggage. A pug-breed dog is also accompanying them.
