‘Drishyam 2’ has no hurdles at the box office. The Ajay Devgan and Tabu starrer had an impressive second week at the box office, earning an estimated Rs 57.50 crore.

According to a report on boxofficeindia.com, the film managed to earn a post-pandemic record in the original Hindi content category, beating recent releases like ‘Brahmastra’ 50 crore nett, ‘Bhol Bholiya’ 49 crore nett. 2′ and ‘Suriyavanshi’ Rs 45.50 crore. Although the collections are less than Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’, it should be noted that Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial was given several concessions, thus increasing the revenue.

‘Drishyam 2’ will have a chance to extend its hold at the box office during its third week, despite going up against some new releases.

The second week collection of ‘Drishyam 2’ is also said to be the second highest grosser for an Ajay Devgn film. Only one period drama, ‘Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior’ beats it. In terms of all-time second-week business, it is ranked 16th, beating the likes of ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Sultan’, ‘Good News’ and ‘Housefull 4’.

After earning an estimated Rs 102.37 crore in week one and adding Rs 57.50 crore to its total on the second week, the film’s estimated total collection stands at Rs 159.87 crore.

“Drishyam 2” has also entered the Rs 150 crore club in India in just 12 days of its release.
