Dan Futterman is reportedly writing the script for the next biography for Sony’s 3000 Pictures, according to news, an American web and print publication.

Mason had previously played Teddy in “The Hangover Part 2.” He was the adolescent whom the main protagonists in that movie attempted to save as they tried to piece together what took place during a chaotic night in Bangkok.

Mason most recently starred in “Stand by Me,” “Limbo,” and “Who Killed Cock Robin (Mu Ji Zhe)” before making an appearance in his father’s 2016 drama “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.”

Lawrence Grey, Shannon Lee, Ang Lee, Ben Everard, and Brian Bell will produce “Bruce Lee.” For Sony, Marisa Paiva and Elizabeth Gabler will oversee the project.

According to a report, Bruce Lee is Ang Lee’s longterm passion project and a deeply emotional tale that depicts the victories and conflicts of one of the most important real-life action heroes of our time. Gabler, who collaborated with Ang Lee on “Life of Pi,” said as much in a statement.

Ang Lee is a seasoned filmmaker who has garnered multiple Academy Award nominations and wins for his films, including four for “Life of Pi,” three for “Brokeback Mountain,” and two for “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.” Additionally, his movies have had success at the box office.
