Nawazuddin Siddiqui reflected on his road to become an actor on Tuesday, saying that at first, he took on minor jobs out of need since he had no other choice.

He was speaking at the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa on the subject of “Journey as an Actor.”
“I was given small roles, which I accepted at the time in order to survive. There was no other choice for me. But I was never let down. You become strong during the challenging times, he said.

“If you have to start over from scratch, you must first relearn everything you have learned,” he stated.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui discussed difficulties and hardships. He has been in some of the biggest Bollywood movies, including “Black Friday,” “New York,” “Peepli Live,” “Kahani,” and “Gangs of Wasseypur.”

Nawazuddin claimed that right after finishing college, he spent a brief period of time working as a chemist in a petrochemical business. However, he became involved with theatre in order to realise his dream of becoming an actor.
He eventually received admission to Delhi’s National School of Drama (NSD).

In response to a query on how “Gangs of Wasseypur” ended up being a turning point in his acting career, he stated that the film helped him develop self-confidence.

He remarked, “I was convinced that my troubles would end after this and people would enjoy this movie.

In addition, Nawazuddin Siddiqui discussed his experience producing web series for Netflix and other OTT services.

He admitted that at first, because he knew nothing about OTT platforms, he was hesitant to work on series on them.

Anurag Kashyap, however, persuaded him to work on these platforms. It should be noted that the Sacred Games web series was a huge success on Netflix.

In the biopics “Manto,” in which he portrayed famed Urdu novelist Saadat Hasan Manto, and “Thackeray,” in which he played Bal Thackeray, Nawazuddin also offered advice on how to play a variety of characters.

“Acting is a pastime of mine, and I never grow bored of it. My life is acting, and it is everything to me. Even saving one life won’t quench my thirst for performing,” he remarked, adding that it inspires him.
